Data package for Ruegen without registration hassle

Dear All,

A friend of mine is going to the beautiful island of Ruegen to enjoy the last days of summer there. However her accomodation does not provide a WiFi, so a prepaid SIM with data is a must.

The problem is, that she does not speak German and she is not keen on bureuocracy and formalities.

So my question is simple - what prepaid should she chose that
- Is possible to buy offline on the island of Ruegen
- Is possible to register without German ID or German residence - online registration is not a problem, I can register the card for her from Poland when she'd send me the details but I do not like lying and providing false adresses - we live in EU for Christ's sake, I would like to use my real address thank you very much :)
- Provides a nano-sim
- Provided that above points are OK, provides the cheapest option for 1GB of data for one week

the Nano-SIM could be the problem as usually in the payg packages there is a normal/micro SIM and you have to order a nano-SIM via the hotline - it will then be delivered by mail and it takes some days.

-> Aldi Supermarket: nano card can be ordered via hotline free of charge after purchase a starter kit
-> Lidl: same
-> congstar: order online or request a swap via hotline (for 20 Euro!!)

Ok, so let's scratch the nanoSim problem, I was planning to buy a Sim-cutter anyway :)

After a brief search I've come to understanding that there is NO German provider that does not require German address (I've read somewhere that Lyca does not require activation at all but the website does not confirm). So let's assume that we will register it onto the guesthouse that she will be staying in.

So what is the best choice here - Alditalk, since there is a nice big Aldi in the centre of Sassnitz? How possible is that Aldi will send the address verification letter to the guesthouse (I am no 100% sure if it would be admitted since the location is a little bit... agroturistic in nature)

yes all Herndon prepaids unlike Poland requires registers toons and activations. You can purchase on ebay there are some sellers sell it already active. For your area the best are O2, fonic, lebara

i am not aware of any operator sending out confirmation letters. They just check in a database if the adress really exists.
I'd go for a ALDI sim in this case, 3G coverage seems to be OK on the island
