the most easy way is if someone in thailand buys you a topup-card and send you a sms or email with the code number.

There is a recharge over the internet but afair only for thai bank accounts.

here is the link (which is not working at the moment cause the website is totally overload :P ): http://www.one-2-call.com/One2Call/o...p_internet.jsp

Thanks for this! I have no contact in Thailand for the moment, and now I saw that my sim expires 27/12/2006.... So does anyone on the forum have a contact that can help me with a topup code? I will pay via Paypal.. Thanks!!!

I have. Let me see if he still has some money left to buy you a cheap scratch card. We'll call there in the afternoon anyway. So i'll post back here later today.

Thanks very much. What about 300 or 500 baht, how many months will it extend the life of the sim?

Erm, about a month. The thai SIM-cards have very low lifetime if they re not used unfortunately...

That's too bad... But I heard something about all Thai sim now being converted to 1 year validity, is that true?

You can buy special "long life" SIM-cards which are recommended for tourists or people who need only receiving calls.
They get 365 days validitiy with a 300 baht recharge but have higher minute rates for outgoing calls.

I'll ask my friend about that too. He'll send me a SMS as soon as he got to get you a refill card. He's very busy at work these days (working in a dept. store and they have "winter sale" ;-) )...

365 Days with 12Call

OK All

This worked for me so before you run out of Bhat on your 12Call 90 plan or 30 plan, you can do this while in Thailand or Global roaming type *777*9# and this will change your plan, if you are in Thailand just re-charge if you Overseas you need to get someone to re-charge like I do and you should have 365 day plan.

Have fun
