Help with ORange SIMs needed

Hi
I recently purchased 100 UK orange SIMS as part of my university job which we will provide to freshers. However, I didnt realise that were unactivated when I purchased them and as such they do not have phone numbers!!

I was told by a friend to ring up Orange and register the card, though they did not seem to understand that we are giving them away at uni and so could not provide address, IMEI numbers, etc!

Does anyone know of a quick way/a way to obtain a number for each sim card and activate the SIM??

Please help!

Thanks in advance.

Betty

Welcome to the forum

You'll find that people here read most of the boards, so there is no need to post this three times

The answer is - the SIMs are activated by ringing up Orange, but why not let the students receiving them do it themselves. The instructions are contained within the packet, and involve ringing a freephone number 0800 079 0006; maybe you could ring that with any queries.

Hi guys!

This is my first post in this beautiful forum, and I need your help!

I'm italian, and from Italy I can't call international freephone numbers like 0800 079 0006...
But I need to call it, how can I make it?

Thank you very much! :D

Are you trying to call Orange in the UK? You should be able to call them via Skype and for free.

Thanks a lot!:D

Ciao for now!

Hi!

I'm sorry I'm disturbing you, but through Skype the IVR cannot hear my voice, and I can't go to next steps.

The number I'm trying to call is +448000790006, to register an Orange SIM.

Could somebody help me?

Thank you very much! :)

Sipbroker

http://faq.sipbroker.com/tiki-index....hone%20Numbers

http://www.sipbroker.com/sipbroker/action/pstnNumbers

Unfortunately they don't have pstn access numbers in Italy yet, but you could call one in another country via a cheap calls provider (unlikely with Skype), then enter *01344800079006# - i.e. replace 00 with the Sipbroker prefix *013, then # after the number

this method works for freephone numbers in a range of countries, either via the Sipbroker *013 prefix or some of the other possibilities listed on the page, such as FreeWorldDialup *393*44...

edit - for USA numbers, Sipbroker now uses *1800...
