O2 Ireland... How to activate?

Hi, I'm new of this forum!
I have bought a O2 Ireland sim, and I'd like to know in details how to activate it! I know that I have to call the 1741, but what I have to do when I call this number? Is there anyone who can tell me all the passages to make the activation of my sim?
Thank you very much to all the people who will answer me! :o

I think if ireland is like the UK the sim cards come pre-activated...unless its like orange payg....that one you have to phone up and activate....

www.02.ie and see if there is a way to answer your query?

visit http://www.o2online.ie/wps/wcm/conne...O2.ie+queries# and look at the topics about registering and activating the sim card.

looks like they come unactivated!

It shouldn't be necessary to activate them. Do you get a roaming signal in your country or where have you used the SIM? If not activated yet, you activate it by performing one billable activity, ie sending a text message or placing a call.

Let me know should you still have a problem with this.

in this case you have to activate the sim card before use...similar to orange uk perhaps you have to call and register the sim, check if there is a number on the back to call?
