Voice/Data for a few days in the UK?
 

Hi!

My daughter and I are going to the UK and Germany this December, and I think I've figured out what Sim to get for Germany, but not for the UK.

We have unlocked phones that work in Europe. My daughter's just needs voice, mine is a smartphone that I'd like to use data on, and also use it as a modem for our netbook, while there.

We are only in the UK for 3 days at the start of our trip and again for 3 days at the end, with 2 weeks Germany sandwiched in between.

Would we better off with a month's payG? And what carrier has good coverage and data speed, and good prices? And how would I obtain the sim and get it activated, so it's ready to go when we land in the UK?
