2 different requirements, 2 SIMs - which?
 

Hi,

I will be in Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig areas for 2 weeks in September and require 2 PAYG/pre-paid SIMs.

The first is for my cell phone: 1 or 2 local calls per day, no SMSs, and data for interactive street maps, WhatsApp and Skype (I really don't know how much data this will require).

The second is for mobile broadband on a pc: no calls, no SMSs, about 50-100 Mb data per day over say 12 days (I guess 1 Gb should be enough in total).

I will be staying at an apartment in Berlin for the first 4 days, so can use this as a registered address after I have arrived. But I cannot use the address in advance to have any packages sent.

Having looked through some of the forum posts, Lidl and Lycamobile appear to offer suitable packages.

Any suggestions or recommendations? :o

Lidl and Lycamobile no doubt provides a decent service to international customers and you must check low data packages of about 250 Mb. It will be sufficient for you as maps does not need much data. Enjoy the tour :)
