Three UK brings back Like Home, now called Feel At Home

Three UK launched Like Home roaming in 2007 and stopped it in 2009, but it's just about to be relaunched (effective yesterday) with the name Feel At Home

With Feel At Home, you can call or and text the UK and get online, using your current plan, in seven other countries, just like you would at home and it won’t cost a penny more. So now you can chat to your family, text your friends, post gloaty status updates and share your holiday snaps whenever you like, with no more worrying about extra charges on your bill.

Feel At Home is available to any Three customer - all Pay Monthly phone customers, SIM plans, Pay As You Go, Mobile Broadband and Business customers.

As a Three customer, you can call and text the UK and get online when in Austria, Australia, Denmark, Hong Kong, Italy, the Republic of Ireland and Sweden — just like you do at home.

Interestingly, it seems to suggest that it might roam on any network in the Three territories visited, but I wonder if either the roaming will be steered to only Three, or maybe the terms on the website are still in a slightly draft state at the moment

Also, there are rumours they want to expand it to other countries, perhaps sometime in 2014, though one person who broke the story on (Digital Spy forums) seems a bit cautious on that at this stage

Some of the wording seems to concentrate on use of allowances or add-ons, but I'd be interested in the prospect of the new ordinary PAYG tariff of 3p/min 2p/text 1p/MB being available in the other countries.

It says it should all happen automatically, but I read one comment from someone visiting Ireland and having to click on a link in an sms received. Maybe this is temporary as it was only the first day

Perhaps he had to opt-in? Good news anyway :)

That would be amazing, but I think this is why they're concentrating on allowances.

What Three is doing here is akin to what the European Commission wants all networks to do, and where a network doesn't operate in a particular country, they will be expected to form alliances with local networks.
