Sim Card for mobile internet - Europe

I am looking for a Sim card to use in a Mobile internet computer dongle

Currently I am using the Three Mobile 'Feel At Home' Package - which is great for UK, France etc. This comes with a ZTE MF730M dongle, and has enabled me to work satisfactorily.

I would like to find something similar to extend to Belgium, Holland, Germany, as these are the countries which I visit most regularly, and it would be very handy to be free of the need to locate a Wi Fi hotspot

Also an occasional use package for Hungary would be handy

I have done some reading through the forums, and I am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions?

There is a very good overview on the following page:
http://prepaid-data-sim-card.wikia.c...European_Union

The page mentions Lycamobile Germany as one of the options. As far as I could see, Lycamobile offers more or less the same roaming offer since few months in all of the countries they cover, so it does not have to be Lycamobile Germany if one prefers a number of a different country.

Hi Peter.
The reference to Lycamobile is made not for their "no roaming fees offer" which is mostly a fake as they include only certain fees, e.g. no data.
Since a few weeks Lycamobile in Germany only markets "roaming packages" with a decent data rate for about 14 mostly EU countries:
http://www.lycamobile.de/de/bundle?id=6 They'll win my personal award for the worst website around.
I haven't found these offers in any other Lycamobile country yet. May be they are testing it here.
But I'm still not so sure about them to add them as another verfied option, as I don't trust Lyca so much.
I will test it in a few days. Anyway, they can't be recommended for tethering as Lyca is known to sniff and kill all tethering connections.

As far as I could see, these are the HOME DATA packages for data usage in roaming that they have introduced in March together with the so called "no roaming charges" offer. They have never been advertised on their webpage, just included in the pricelist, accessible at the bottom of the misleading "no roaming charges" page. It is just that they recently appeared on the German webpage with slightly different names (still called HOME DATA in the pricelist):

The offer is very good for some countries. As always with Lyca, one never knows, how long it will last. And 55€ for 1GB in France is exorbitant high. Lycamobile France charges for the same only 12€. Besides actively killing tethering Lyca customers in all countries seem to get an UK IP address, not the one of the country where the SIM is bought.

You are right. We'll see how long this will last.
I'm not sure if it is a promotion or if they really want to build up a roaming network on their national MNVOs. If they do, it'll be an interesting approach.
May be they want to test it first. This movie on which the promo was based originally was released long ago.

Killing tethering is a no go for many and I still don't understand why they do it, because you are allowed to the use the SIM seperately in every device.
Blocking VoIP (which they don't do), I can at least understand from an economical point of view.
Using only UK-based IPs will only bother custormers who are using geo-restricted or geo-referenced services.
Still, I'll test their "service" in a couple of days on roaming. It'll be also interesting whether they include Germany in the first group. Originally, they did but then they realized that the sell some packages below the domestic German rate. Now, Germany is gone from the German list only.
