Country: | I'm curious - about how little bandwidth are those 'trackers' using? I know when I try to get directions with Google Maps, a lot of data is used due to new map tiles loading up on every action. |

Country: | no, these trackers _send_ the GPS positions to a internet server which processes and displays the data. E.g. for delivery trucks or other logistics services as well as for security reasons. One position update to the internet only takes a few bytes.
