I thought the people here at Pre-paid GSM could work together to start a calling card service around the globe for world travelers and find ways to get really cheap termination for global sim cards and etc what do you people think?

Not quite sure what you mean. Telefon-treff.de has a forum for SWAPPING prepaid SIM cards -- like WANT TO HAVE and OFFER. Is that what you mean? PLS explain for a dunderhead like me.

No we would start a calling card service like we could sell them on here and other places and they would have like especially low voip terminated rates and everything to litchenstein mobiles and stuff and acess numbers for people calling out of weird countries using local sims

I wonder if we have enough power to get wholesale VoIP rates. And who pays the rental on all the rarely used DIDs in the so-called weird countries?

The VoIP rates are not the problem. But the technology and the billing system wont be cheap if you are not buying a existing system as a resale or whatever.

I know the VoIP rates are not a problem; I was being a bit rhetorical. After all, landline rates are in the order of 2c per minute or less, even free per minute (credit required though) on Finarea companies, which may mean the real pundits can use callback to make virtually free calls between many of the world's landlines.
