Default Needed: Romanian sim card - 25-03-2011, 13:00

I will be arriving in Transylvania in a small town on a Sunday, meaning no possibilities of purchasing a simcard myself.

Would any kind person living in Romania be so kind to help me out?

Most Romanian gas/petrol stations and village stores sell both prepaid SIMs and top-up cards.

But how does it work then for registering the simcard? When buying at a official Orange shop then will register my simcard for me right away. I don't expect this to happen at a petrol station...

There's no mandatory SIM card registration requirement in Romania. Just buy the card and use it!
