Sipbroker PSTN access numbers?

Has anyone tried using any of SIPBroker's PSTN access numbers to make a call to a SIP client? I've tried once or twice and each time I connect but the line has so much noise that it's not usable. Is it just me or is this normal.

I used to regularly use this as a way of calling from Spanish mobiles to a SIP address in the UK. Worked fine, when the access number was not busy!
