Hi,
I'm going to Turkey this holidays and I'm looking for best local prepaid. I read, that Avea has cheapest international calls, is it true? Maybe someone was there and checked it? I have one more question: can I normal buy SIM and use it in my phone? On my operator's website I read, that they block mobiles not bought in Turkey, when using their SIMs.

I had a Muhabbet Kart, which is a Turkcell-related offer, though I'm not sure exactly what the deal with it was. It had relatively cheap calls to the US, but Europe was quite a bit more expensive. The SIM itself was rather crappy, as it had a 100-number capacity and only supported 10-character entries. It worked fine in my own phone.

I don't think any of the offers in Turkey are particularly great, though for a short visit the short expiration dates they all seem to have aren't likely to be a big problem.
