My friend goes to Sudan the next February. I suggest her to buy an international sim (Travelsim is the best 'cause the incoming calls are free while Um+ has set-up fee and cost 0,19 eurocent/minute). But there's a local sim that she can use without spending a lot?
Thanks :)
She can get a MTN Sudan prepaid card for about 5 euros once she's there...

Thanks, its' a good solution, but there's a trouble: she will stay on the ship because she goes to Sudan to diving. Do you think she can buy a mtn on the ship?i hope so :)
If she never goes down the ship I fear it will be hard to find a shop! :D

So, she only can buy a travelsim, there aren't other solutions.
Did you check all the other international cards. Yackie lists sudan too. Obviously if she will be calling mostly to Sudan and receiving calls from Sudan, a local Sudanese sim will be the best option. If that's not doable, then compare all the international sims and see which one is more appropriate.

she only will call to Italy and she will receive calls from Italy
In that case, a local sim is NOT really neccesary. Compare the international sims, and then choose the best option.
