Verizon roaming in South Korea

US CDMA major carrier Verizon Wireless now offers roaming in South Korea at $1.29/minute. The link: http://mobileoptions.vzw.com/interna...h%20Korea.html

I rarely take my Verizon phone with me internationally, opting of course for GSM, but this could be useful to US travelers.

I'll be in Seoul for a day in early March and will check it out. Meanwhile if anyone has used this service let me know how it went.

It will work. My sister has done it, but there are certainly cheaper ways to go if you are going to be there for anytime. I also think 09 may be free incoming in Korea.

I've upgraded my handsets to include 2100mhz WCDMA and wifi/voip. It has definitely increased the number of available tools at my disposal.
