"Old platform" and "new platform"
By default, Simplus uses the so-called "old platform" (the word "platform" denotes the software platform of the billing system) which
requires phones with the Advice of Charge (AoC) feature. Here are the compatibility lists (upper tables on the pages):

Using "old platform" results in the following features.
In the listed phones, the balance is checked via "Call costs" menu. It may also be displayed directly on the phone display.
After each top-up it Is necessary to turn off and on the phone to update the credit in the phone menu.
The "old platform" is not fully online - payments for SMS/MMS/GPRS are not charged immediately but either after 10 days or when "cumulated"
usage of those services exceeds 2.50 PLN (it depends on which of the two "reasons" happens first). After such charging, an SMS with appropriate
information comes and the phone must be then turned off and on so that the AoC balance could be updated. These "postponed charges" may result
in decreasing available credit below zero.
The similar rule applies to Swojaki numbers. Calls/SMSes are charged at the regular rates and the difference between the regular and
discount rates is returned after 5 days or when this difference exceeds 2.50 PLN.
In Easy Gadka packet, calls are charged at the regular rate and the difference between the regular and discount rate is returned after 5
days or when "cumulated" usage exceeds 1 PLN.
After the credit drops to zero the phone book on the SIM is blocked until the next top-up.
The phones listed on the above webpages in the lower tables are compatible but the balance can be checked via the USSD code. The "*" at
the phone model symbol means that compatibility may depend on the version of software. Balance check via USSD (ie. "new platform") must be activated.
The above statement is a brief description of info from the official websites. Practically, the list in lower tables make no sense, because
it means just "lists of phones compatible with the 'new platform'". But, in fact nobody knows any phone which is not compatible with the "new platform".
The "new platform" is activated for free via *101*11*99#. This activation IRREVERSIBLY DISABLES the "old platform" (AoC based).
Using the "new platform" removes also "postponed charging", necessity of turning the phone off and on as described above and blocking the SIM
phone book. After each non-free calls an SMS with the balance and credit validity info comes.
The balance check on the "new platform" is performed via USSD: *100#.
The question is - why does the "old platform" still exist? The answer is - because of sometimes minor, sometimes very serious
problems with the "new platform" which were especially "painful" to the users in January and February 2006. Since March,
both the "platforms" seem to be stable.
Preactivated tariff is either Easy or Team7, as indicated by the label on the box (if inscription on the box is missing, it is probably Team7)

Starting Kits
Starter SIM-kits without phone are available in two versions:
- 18 PLN - they include 3 PLN initial credit, and extra 12 PLN is added max. 24 hrs after activation.
- 39 PLN - they include 3 PLN initial credit, and extra 27 PLN is added max. 24 hrs after activation. It's possible to get an
extra credit if a top-up is done: 31-60 days after activation - 10 PLN, 61-90 days after activation - 15 PLN
SIMs in starter kits with phones have only 3 PLN of initial credit, but extra top-ups (with the same rule as in the 39 PLN starters) are available.
All Simplus SIMs have 365 day "waiting period" after which the number is disabled. This period is counted from the day when credit drops to zero or expiration date for outgoing calls (depending which is first one). After expiration date for incoming calls the SIM theoretically requires reactivation by a top-up, but in practice incoming calls are possible until the end of the "waiting period".

Both packets are activated up to 24 hrs after sending the USSD code. Activation is confirmed by an SMS. Activation of each kind of packets opens a new subcredit of the "prepaid in prepaid" type. The day when the SMS is received is considered as the "day of activation". Each packet must be used in at most 30 days following the "day of activation". Unlike in Tak Tak and POP, it is impossible to buy more than one packet of each kind at once! Because of the condition above, if the packet has not been used completely during the 30 days period, the remaining credit is lost.
Swojaki option for Team7
You can activate this option for free and you have a special tariff for voice calls and SMS to 7 selected Plus
numbers, with prefix +48.601,603,607,609,691,693,695,697,661,663 (Sami Swoi +48.887 are excluded).
Mananging the 7 selected numers is done via USSD codes:
- add a new number: *103*11*48number#; price: 2,50 PLN (first 7 settings free)
- delete a number: *103*00*48number#; price: free

Swojaki option for Team4
You can activate this option for free and you have a special tariff for voice calls and SMS to 2 selected Plus
or landline numbers (numbers for voice and SMS can be different), with prefix +48.601,603,607,609,691,
693,695,697,661,663 (Sami Swoi +48.887 are excluded).

Voice Mail
Voice mail calls to the user informing him/her about a new message and allowing to listen them are free of charge.

Managing voice mail via USSD codes (all operations are free):

VM is active in max. 48 hrs after SIM activation. Turning on and off takes effect after max. 24 hrs after sending the USSD code to the operator.
Flexible top-ups
With "flexible" top-ups you can refill your account with any amount in full zlotys from 30 to 500 PLN.
It works in this way: the shop assistant types the phone number on the terminal and the credit is increased "directly",
no top-up code is sold.
Below ranges "from-to" in PLN are given:
- 10-29/7+23 days
- 30-49/1+1 months
- 50-99/3+1 months
- 100-149/6+1 months
- 150-500/6+1 months
Bonuses for "flexible" top-ups:
- 100-149 -> 15% more (15 to 22,35 PLN more)
- 150-500 -> 20% more (30 to 100 PLN more)
'Universal' USSD-based management menu
By dialing *110# you will obtain on the phone display a menu for managing your account.
By pressing 'OK', the number of a menu item, 'OK', you will select the item. Pressing 0 ends the menu session, pressing *
moves one level up. This menu is an interactive replacement for all the USSD codes used in this prepaid (except for dialing
in roaming).
