Beeline and K-Mobile
GSM-World lists only 2 operators in Kazakhstan, but here you see 3... what's wrong? It seems that K-Mobile has been bought in
September 2004 by VimpelCom, the Russian national operator which uses the brand Beeline. So they say on their official site:
VimpelCom is a leading international provider of telecommunications services in Russia and Kazakhstan. The Company operates
under the 'Beeline' brand in Russia and Kazakhstan. In addition, VimpelCom is continuing to use 'K-mobile' and 'EXCESS' brands in Kazakhstan.
So it seems that Beeline and K-mobile are the same thing with 2 different brands and offers, something like Era and Heyah in
Poland, while Excess is the prepaid offer of K-Mobile, and Time is the one of Beeline.
