Yackie Mobile is one of the two main international cards (the other being Maxroam) which automatically
offer a DID number associated to your international sim-card.
The original number of the Yackie Mobile card is an Icelandic +354 number, which you can also use to get free incoming calls
in several countries. Yackie Mobile has an agreement with 09 Mobile and they share the same prefix from Iceland,
but with Yackie you also get a DID number that you can choose among 40 countries, some free, some not. Using the DID number, of course,
cannot offer free incoming calls, and the rates start from US$ 0.29. But that's not all. With Yackie you also get a free VoIP account
you can use to make even cheaper calls through internet, associating it also to your Yackie number.
Many old time PrepaidGSM.net readers will remember the BIG problems many of them had using Yackie Mobile in the past. The offer they have now is totally different and, after testing it, we can say that it's by far more reliable and it can be suggested to anyone, not just for beta-testing like in the past.
PROS
You can choose one or more landline numbers of different countries to link to the mobile one, resulting in cheap (when not free)
calls to any Yackie Mobile customer. No set-up fee, free calling number identification (also vocal, if you want), VoIP account.
You can use both Icelandic and local DID number, with free or paying incoming calls.
Largest World coverage (same as 09 Mobile).
CONS
Rates for outgoing calls are not so cheap, for incoming calls are not the best, but still ok.
Rather high activation cost.
