Presentation
GT-SIM has been the first Isle of Man based international prepaid GSM card.
It was born as a postpaid "pay-as-you-go" offer, but then in May 2006 it seems it has become prepaid,
but there's still much confusion about it. Surely you still need a credit card to activate it and surely they
changed conditions and some rates as well, with very late information to their customers, which is not a
fair way to behave. Anyway their offer can be interesting for the rather low rates of outgoing calls and
GPRS data roaming capabilities.
PROS
It's one of the few international cards with GPRS data capabilities in some countries.
No set-up fee. Cheap calls to landlines, UK based number (IoM).
CONS
Few countries with free incoming calls (EU only),
per minute billing, very high rates for data and many high rates in several countries.
They changed rates and way of billing without any notice.

There are unfortunately many exceptions to the above mentioned rates, here they are:
- Lebanon: + € 0.30 out
- Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Ukraine: + € 0.30 in/out
- Iraq, Mozambique: + € 0.60 out
- China, Indonesia, Kuwait, Macao: + € 0.30 in, € 0.60 out
- Argentina, Canada, Greenland, Mauritius, Peru, Russia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, USA: + € 0.60 in/out
- Mexico: + € 0.30 in, € 0.90 out
- Antigua & Barbuda, Bermuda: + € 0.90 in/out
- Cayman, Dominica, Grenada, St.Lucia, St.Vincent & the Grenadines: + € 1.20 in/out
- Cuba, India: + € 1.80 in/out
Home Country
WIth GT-SIM you have one "home Country" where you get free incoming calls; usually it's the country where you live and your GT-SIM is sent to, but probably you can also ask them for a specific home country.
