Effendi's opinion about Zen
I tried "Zen" prepaid card in August 2004, when it still had the Radiolinja brand (and cheaper international SMS and
"free roaming" in Finland), but the offer is more or less still the same now with the Elisa brand. The starting kit is
"CD-like", similar to Amigo in Latvia, and you can find it at Elisa shops, gas-stations and many other places around
Estonia. I bought it at a petrol station in Valga. The instructions are in Estonian and Russian only, but it's not difficult to activate
the card, just dial 16400. The number is printed on the back of the kit. Rates are good, and coverage was excellent in any part
of Estonia I visited. I activated international roaming and topped-up with EEK 100 (by USSD code: *135*top-up code#) before
leaving Tallinn for Helsinki. I used the Zen card in Finland for a couple of days with no problem. It roamed on Elisa FI network,
of course, and I enjoyed the free incoming calls while roaming.
I think that this card was the best prepaid option in Estonia in 2004, expecially if you planned to move to Finland or Latvia too;
now it's probably less convenient than Tele2.
